Moderner Gypsy Style – Reiselust in Zeiten von Corona

Outfits spiegeln Stimmungen wieder.

Outfits reflect moods. At least, that’s how it is with me. We shot this look just before the Corona crisis, but the situation was already serious in some parts of Germany. Maybe that’s why, in wise foresight, I decided to go for this modern gypsy style…

Modern Gypsy Style – wanderlust in one outfit

The fashion style of gypsy women is characterized by skirts and dresses in midi length, bright colors, scarves, boots and gold jewelry such as large creoles, medals or bracelets. A little bit I got inspired by this and created a modern gypsy style. The basis is my purple pleated skirt, which I combined with suede boots and a striking cropped sweater with metallic effect. In addition a wide, braided velvet hairband, small creoles with rhinestones and a pink bag. Which is a rather eye-catching look even for me – I won’t even mention comments from the Hubby – would certainly not be enough for real Sinti and Roma. :-)

And no, I don’t long for a vagabond life, but certainly – like all of us – for the (travel) freedom, which was a matter of course for us until a few weeks ago. That does not mean at all that I do not find the measures right. It only means that a longing is growing. A longing for freedom, open borders and spontaneous as well as long planned trips. I will appreciate travelling much more and in a different way, that’s for sure…

Canceled holidays

Probably at least one holiday has to be cancelled for all of us, right? Actually, we would have gone to Schwangau next week to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary in a wellness hotel and the castle Neuschwanstein as a setting. Hiking routes were fixed, restaurants were looked out, but things turned out differently.

We make the best out of our holiday week at home and have already made some plans. These include ordering delicious food from our favorite restaurants, cafes and delivery services on most days, but also, for example, hiking around a large lake in our neighboring town. The balcony also needs some new plants and working out is also on the agenda. :-)

The next big holiday is planned for mid/end August. Let’s see what the world looks like until then. But I don’t have too high hopes.
